RARE ‘FORNASETTI’, 1950’s vintage nib print scarf

€230.00

This gorgeous silk scarf is a rare 1950’s print from Italian designer, Piero Fornasetti.

During his life ( 1913-1987 ) he created over 13,000 works and is famed for producing one of the largest outputs of objects and furniture of the 20th century. Museum Art Director Silvana Annicchiarico said it best “Piero Fornasetti’s work is theatricality. Any piece of furniture is never just a piece of furniture: it is a piece of scenery, a decor, a set. An object that evokes a story, which offers a setting for a story.” I love Fornasetti’s pieces with tool motifs – he had a love of craftspeople and old tools that inspired many of his works. This scarf is a true collector’s piece.
